Casa Lapostolle Clos Apalta 2018

Description:

Casa Lapostolle, a renowned winery in Chile, is celebrated for its dedication to producing high-quality wines with a focus on sustainability and traditional winemaking techniques. The Clos Apalta is a prestigious blend primarily composed of Carmenre, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, sourced from the Apalta Valley in the Colchagua region. This wine is crafted with meticulous care, undergoing fermentation in French oak vats followed by aging in new French oak barrels, which imparts a rich complexity and depth. The wine exhibits a vibrant bouquet of dark fruits, such as blackberries and plums, complemented by notes of spice and a hint of chocolate. Its full-bodied structure is balanced by fine tannins and a long, elegant finish. Clos Apalta pairs beautifully with hearty dishes like grilled lamb, beef stews, or aged cheeses.
