Celler Cal Pla Planots Priorat

Description:

Celler Cal Pla is a renowned winery located in the Priorat region of Spain, known for its rugged terrain and distinctive wines. The Planots is a rich and complex red wine crafted primarily from old-vine Garnacha and Cariena grapes, which thrive in the region\'s unique slate soils. The winemaking process involves traditional fermentation techniques followed by aging in French oak barrels, which imparts a subtle oak influence and enhances the wine\'s structure. The resulting wine exhibits a deep ruby color with intense aromas of dark berries, licorice, and mineral notes. On the palate, it offers a full-bodied experience with well-integrated tannins and a long, elegant finish. This wine pairs beautifully with hearty dishes such as grilled lamb, roasted meats, and aged cheeses.
