Clape Cornas Renaissance

Description:

Domaine Clape is a renowned winery located in the Cornas appellation of the Northern Rhne Valley, France. The Clape Cornas Renaissance is crafted from Syrah grapes, which thrive in the steep, granite-rich slopes of the region. The winemaking process involves traditional methods, including fermentation in open-top concrete vats and aging in large oak foudres, which help to preserve the purity and intensity of the fruit. This wine exhibits a deep, dark color with a complex bouquet of blackberries, violets, and earthy notes. On the palate, it offers a robust structure with firm tannins, balanced acidity, and flavors of dark fruit, pepper, and a hint of smokiness. It pairs beautifully with hearty dishes such as grilled lamb, beef stew, or aged cheeses.
