Mer Soleil Reserve Chardonnay White Wine, 750ml Bottle

Description:

Taking its name from the sea and sun the two forces of nature that shape its exotic character this wine is as dramatic as the place where it is sourced. With morning fog, bright sunshine and gusting winds, the Santa Lucia Highlands has an extended growing season, leading to the development of tropical aromas, lush fruit flavors and a vibrant acidity.

• Sourced from the Santa Lucia Highlands, a small and exceptional appellation 40 minutes from Monterey.
  • Sun-drenched days cooled by wind off of the Pacific Ocean create perfect conditions for growing Chardonnay.
    • This temperate environment means we can pick grapes late to create greater intensity in the wine.
      • Creamy and rich, balanced by bright acidity that is a hallmark of the region.
        • Fermented and aged in new and used French oak barrels for 12-15 months for perfect wood integration.
          • Produced by Charlie Wagner, whose family founded and runs Caymus Vineyards.
