Description:
Testalonga El Bandito I Wish I Was A Ninja 2024 is a sparkling white wine produced from Colombard grapes. These grapes were harvested from a vineyard planted in 1972, located in the Paardeberg area of the Swartland region. The vines are organically farmed, focusing on sustainability and eco-friendly practices. After being chilled overnight to 6C, the grapes were processed the following day and whole bunch pressed into stainless steel tanks. The juice underwent six rackings and was kept at 2C for 30 days before the tank temperature was gradually increased. At a sugar level of 55 g/l, the wine was bottled to finish fermentation in the bottle until pressure brought it to a stop. The wine was then aged on its lees for 10 months, disgorged, and sealed with a crown cap. 10,500 bottles were produced. Residual sugar: 30g/l. Bottled at 8.5%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: An enticing bouquet unfolds with vibrant notes of exotic litchi, crisp pear, and sun-kissed peaches. The aroma carries a subtle hint of floral freshness.
Palate: On the palate, the wine is light and playful - airy strands of candy floss sweetness mingle with juicy fresh apples, pear, and litchi.
Finish: The finish is soft and easy, defined solely by a refreshing burst of bright acidity and delicate mousse that carries the lingering fruity essence, leaving a clean and delightfully fruity aftertaste.
